Claremont Colleges Council of Presidents
In spring 2007 the Claremont Colleges Council of Presidents requested proprosals from faculty/student/staff research teams to develop and implement new ideas and approaches for advancing the environmental sustainability of the Claremont campuses over a three-year period:
- Summer 2007 – Assessment
Environmental impact assessments ending with suggestions for action where possible. These assessments will be shared with the proper administrative units, which should be charged with proposing implementation ideas for the following summer.
Summaries of the Summer 2007 projects are available on this site as well as links to final reports, datasets, and the presentations given at Harvey Mudd College on July 28, 2007.
- Summer 2008 – Implementation
Implementation design and analysis, which may include the need for some other and/or further assessment work. Following the 2008 reports, the various units of The Claremont Colleges will consider the suggestions.
- Future – Evaluation
Evaluation of the results of the implementations (if any) or design of evaluation measures if the particular implementation is not yet in place. This phase of the program was originally scheduled for 2009, but the program is currently on hiatus. Please check back to see when this phase will be implemented.
